Factory reuse: Ambiente s.r.l. office

A textile and clothing company that imports textiles from India opens a new branch in an industrial building in the outskirts to the north of Turin. Even though recently constructed in the mid-seventies, the building needs to be completely restructured: all the internal walls, panelling, plumbing and electrical systems, etc. are removed and the roof is replaced.

The old office building is converted into an open-plan space with a long glass window on one side. The roof of the industrial unit was remodelled to incorporate large skylights, providing theatrical illumination for the showroom.
